THE VICTORIOUS KAIASSE REUNION ISLAND TEAM
The KAIASSE Reunion Island (France) Team visited Cebu Philippines last July 19 to August 7 , 2013, with nineteen (19) fascinating and memorable nights of accommodation extended by the Wellcome Hotel of Cebu, along with the hotel’s General Manager Col. Bruce S. Concepcion PAF ( RET), and the hotel’s Director for Operation Ms. Rhealyn L. Concepcion - who extended the warm “welcome” to the whole team .
The team headed by the energetic Mr. Max Carpin, made a full course of schedules for training and team motivation, with the great pride of Master Jean Claude highlighting their entry to the Doce Pares World finals in Mandaue City Sport Complex, participated in by 12 countries around the world. In the 5th DOCE PARES World Championship on International Arnis Tournament, the team clashed with 13 fighters, 3 coaches, while spending time to make friends with peoples of other nationalities, especially the local Filipinos. With the discipline, hard work and determination, the team reaped 15 Gold and 10 Silver medals. With such a graceful recognition, the whole KAIASSE Reunion Island ( France ) team went home with pride, along with the memories of their stay in the wonderful island ofCebu .
Of course, the whole event was conceptualized by the Supreme Grand Master Mr. Diony Canete and his son Atty. Gerald Canete, founders of the Arnis movement in Cebu.
The team, was nonetheless handled by the hotel’s Sales Manager Ms. Petah Thea Papellero for the 2nd time now, having also visited last year.
