Our Arnisador Julie CALIMOUTOU gave us the chance to twin our clubs and towns
She is only 13 yo and she already took part to her 4th world championship last july 2016. In 2011, she won some golds for her first participation. 2012, 2013 and 2016 (2 Gold and 1 silver), she confirmed her fabulous potential. Now, we can be proud of all she is: a humble student, whether she wins or loses. She is full of titles but she will never tell anything about it. She first came to the Philippines in 2010 and since then, she trained all the techniques constituting Doce Pares. From the Headquarters in Banilad to the Carin gym and Sir Nicomedes Elizar , she is now a perfect arnisador, in spite her young age. Faithful in friendship and her Heart rich of Values she was taught thanks to FMA and her Family, she remains our cherished child and her Fame goes beyond our tiny Island, throughout the World.
Julie is the main character of our meeting with the CMACI members, during the 2011 doce pares world championship. She fell in Friendship with miss Churmette ROCAMORA and they are still linked. We were impressed by the extraordinary implication of Master Willy Bacalso and his staff, dedicating themselves totally to the education of the young. We went to their place, Cubacub, and exchanged with them our Culture and their skill in arnis. The year after, on that famous july the 29th 2012, our two clubs were officially twinned, being given the name of CMAKAIASSE. One year after, 2013, during the doce pares world championship, the mayor of Mandaue signed officially our twinning document, giving his political blessing and support. More than ever, that year 2016, 5 years later , we have to meet again that marvelous school and go further in our process to make our towns, Sainte Suzanne and Mandaue, follow our path and signe their official twinning. It will be the next step.
